pulling vinyl from its sleeve
a quick slip of glossy black plastic
shining in my hands
carrying it to the needle, as if
delivering a sacred message
about to reveal
the meaning of life.

Not quite the same with a CD
Not quite the same with a CD or Spotify. I got rid of my vinyl when I 'downsized'. To my surprise my son grabbed half of it. Some things live on, apparently!

Love this! Exactly how I
Love this! Exactly how I rememeber it :0) Spotify is great, would never have heard any of the music I like now, without it, but the foreplay of records is a wonderful thing, and you have recreated it perfectly
