I grieved and wept for days,
Summoning the spirit of Keith,
Somehow I believed he just slept in his coffin,
The sunflowers bobbed meekly against my knees,
The awe of his passing,
I weakly hummed his name,
Still feeling raw,
I cried like a baby, wishing he did not die,
I lie in bed,
Still traumatised and remember his spirit kiss on my lips,
the night of his funeral.
