Monday blues

Driving home early morning
Night shifts are done
People rushing no one’s talking
Faces full of gloom
Grey skies raindrops falling
Everyone has the Monday blues
Shift work then feels quite rewarding
Knowing I’m going home to snooze

ah, the little thigs in life.

I could identify with this, when I worked nights there was nothing better than driving home, getting into bed and thinking of all those poor day workers who were just beginning their working day.
