the old tarpaulin I carry
travel scarred and streaked
with the beautiful colours
of an infinite sky
that I wrap around me
with a pillow of soft cumulus
a slice of heart warming sun
and lie down
dreaming of you
and
better days...

Hello ScoZen, I didn't see this one or your first poem somehow I only read the prose piece which I thought was an excellent take on the competition.
This is another really good entry. You seem to write equally well in both poetry and prose.
